Can't empty deleted items folder

I can't empty the deleted items folder in windows mail on Vista. It shows a
pop up asking me to confirm whether I do want to delete and I confirm yes,
but it doesn't empty the folder. Help!

A fix as been released by M$ to resolve the problem of undeletable mails:

"Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista"

Deleted items folder won't empty I cannot empty the deleted items folder. I've tried going under edit, I've tried highlighting all of the e-mails to delete, nothing will work. It will only delete 1 at a time.
