Can't send or receive messages

Can anyone help i tried sending an e-mail and receive this error message
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account:
'mailoptonline.net', Server: 'mailoptonline.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Please go to your e-mail service provider's set up page and go aver all your
setting. Double check you port number. It should be in the 100's. 25,
nowadays usually only works when you are connected to the same ISP that is
also your mail provider. If mixed, the port number is probably higher.

Lincoln actually got it right but was way ahead of his time when he said,
"You can have some of you computer working all of the time and all of your

Help!
