Change date format on taskbar

I use Windows XP Pro and IE6. I have now got my taskbar to show the date as
Wednesday 27/9/2006 (thanks etc). How do I get it to show the date as
Wednesday 27th Sept 2006, pse?

Thanks Steve C.

In Regional and Language Options, I see the difference between long format,
and short format. It is long format I want. But how do I get the taskbar to
show it?

Click the Customize button and then the date tab and set the long date
format to:

dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy

I don't think there are too many people on the planet that will understand
this.
