Hi,

For the life of me I can't figure out how to have independent column views
for the Inbox and the Sent Items. I have nay sub-folders under Inbox and Sent
Items. I want the column "From" to be displayed in my Inbox column and the
Column "To" to be displayed in the Sent Items. Whenever I change the column
in Sent Items to show only the "To" column it also changes the view of the
columns in the Inbox. Is there a way to keep the column views totallay
independent of each other for the Inbox and the Sent Items? Thanks in advance
for your replies and help with this annoying behavior.

WYSIWYG. There are only two options for OE column headers.

Inbox - Deleted Items - and User Created folders share the same layout. If
you change one, you change them all.

Likewise for Outbox - Sent Items - and Drafts. Change one and you change the
other two.

Bruce,

Thanks for your reply. That's too bad. It doesn't make much sense to me that
the two different main catagories (Inbox and Sent Items) can't have different
column settings. Why would Microsoft set it up that way? Thanks again for
your reply.

Inbox and Sent Items /are/ different, but subfolders are the same as the
Inbox regardless of where they are located. It's been that way since day one
and there is no more development of OE, so it will never change.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks again for your reply. That's disappointing and doesn't make any sense
but, oh well, that's the way it goes! Have a great day!

P.S. - Is there any alternative email program that would allow what I was
looking for?

Perhaps you would be interested in this add-on.

The OEX program lets you individually customize the folder columns on a
per folder basis:
