Remove the lines between messages in Outlook 2003

Is there a way to remove the lines between each message within the summary
pane (Inbox, Deleted, Sent...etc)? I find the lines are hard on my eyes. I
feel as if I am looking at an Excel spreadsheet.

When customizing your view press Other Settings and set the grid line style.
