I currently have a v-card file for each e-mail address I regularly
correspond with. It is very cumbersome. I have contacts that have multiple
active addresses and when I send important communications I must choose
multiple entries sometimes up to 3 per addressee. I have them grouped as
conveniently as possible but invariably must choose them individually at
times. A much easier scenario would be to choose a v-card entry with the
ability to choose multiple addresses for that contact. Can someone school me
on how to make this happen. I use OE 5.5 and also Outlook 6.

TIA,
DTV

I'm not sure what you mean by v-card file. Do you perhaps mean a
contact in the address book? a V-card is a small text file with a VCF
file extension that contains contact information. It's intended to be
sent to someone else so that they can add it to their address book. I
don't see any way to use a VCF file to send an e-mail to someone.

I'm going to guess that by v-card you mean a contact entry in the
Outlook Express address book. If you open a contact in the address book
you get a display similar to opening a VCF file.

Outlook Express doesn't handle multiple e-mail addresses per contact
well. To be able to select multiple e-mail addresses they each need to
be a separate contact. I'm guessing that's what you've already done.

What I would do is make a Group in the address book and then select the
group. For example, if you typically need to send to Joe's 3 e-mail
address, make a Joe group and add his 3 contacts to the group.

If you typically need to send to Joe's 3 addresses plus some other
people, you could make just one group with all the addresses in them.

You then select the group to send to and OE will send to all of them.
