Please help:
Hi I'm using Outlook 2003 in XP SP2 and just installed Office Accounting
Professional 2008. Every time I try to open an account with financial data
from the Accounts section of BCM, it hangs and diplays Microsoft NET
Framework error:
Microsoft. NET Framework
Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you
click Contiune the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
Type mismatch. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80020005 (DISP_E_TYPEMISMATCH)).
If I go down to the screen tray area ande click on MSSQL server pase or
stop, I get the NET box to color and I get the details, and a button to
continue, which does not help. '
Note: It does not hang with accounts with no financial data. TIA

Was BCM integrated with an earlier version of OA and you upgraded to
2008?
Or did you integrate the two after installing OA? If so, how? |

Thanks for your reply. I had O2003 insalled with no integration with
anything else before, and then purchased OA2008 via d/l on the 'seamless'
integration claim. Then I imported my business accounts from Money Plus into
OA. Then I linked my OA file to BCM. Once I try to open an ac count it
crashes. TIA

Meanwhile I installed the Service Pack 4 for BCM and SBA (KB930954), which
took care of the crashes and works like a charm now... I'm not sure if I
screwed up something else which will turn into a land ine laer, but I got it
running. Thanks Luther fr your help. If you could further shed light on
this I will appreciate it.

The OA 2007 integrated with BCM 2007 only; earlier BCM databases
didn't show up in the OA 2007 integration wizard. I'm surprised that
OA 2008 integrates with BCM 2003--I haven't tried this combination. OA
must have retro-fitted the sql views that allow it to synchronize OA
Customers with BCM Accounts into the BCM 2003 database. Is
synchonization working? If you change a Customer's phone number in OA,
does the updated phone number show up in the linked BCM Account.
