Outlook 2003 and TWAIN drivers

I am having a problem with scanning. When scanning in multiple pages the
TWAIN driver brings itself to the focus but only if Outlook is at the front.
I have tested with other programs (Word, IE, etc) and the all seem to sit
quite happy in focus which leads me to think it is something to do with
Outlook. Can anyone think of anything that might help or I should be looking
at?
