Hi folks, for some reason my send/receive button has mysteriously disappeared
and does not appear in the actions list (and nothing happens when F9 was
pressed). I have reloaded, repaired, etc and it hasn't changed anything.
Everything looks fine on the Control Panel -> Mail feature.

The email accounts have been deleted and I am only trying to use one at the
moment, to no avail, yet the Test Settings is correct. I am not a techie so
simple language is needed for this simple cleric! Any help really
appreciated as I am wasting too much time on this!

Cheers, Pip

Right Click the bar where the Send/Receive button used to be and hit
customize and see if you can add it back.

Thanks Hayden,

Tried that as well, but it is not an available button. When I first load
Outlook after a reboot it comes up quickly with the Send/Receive button
before disappearing.

I think it thinks there is not a valid email account attached to Outlook,
but there is..honest! There is obviously a bit of script or something which
is corrupted.

Any other ideas?

Cheers

Philip

I have the exact same problem. I know it's not the mail account, because it
works perfectly on Outlook Express. Also, when I log into my administrative
account on my copmputer, Outlook works just fine. I've reinstalled it several
times, I've installed every update under the sun, and I've even run "Detect
and Repair." Like Pip_37, my send/receive button appears, but once Outlook
finishes loading, it disappears. This problem, as far as I know, is specific
to my non-administrative account on my computer. Even before my send/receive
button disappeared, I wasn't able to manually send/receive (although
scheduled checks would occur). I should've just stuck with Outlook 2000.
