I am running Outlook 2007 on Vista Business. All service packs/updates have
been installed. I have deleted rules (i.e forward certain emails to Gmail,
etc.), but the rules are still running even though they have been deleted in
the Rules and Alerts Wizard.

Any suggestions to correct this problem would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Thanks for your reply.

All email accounts are POP3 type (I assume this is what you are asking).
This is a standalone machine with direct internet access though a cable
modem. No servers, Back Office, etc.

I do not know if Outlook opens with the switch you mention. This probelm
came up "spontaneously" and I have not changed or played with any switches
that I know of (I wouldn't know how to do it anyway, so you'll have to propmt
me in detail if needed. I assume though the command prompt?) Smile

TIA for any help you can give.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it did not work. I verified that
Outlook was not running (program and any services) and open Outlook with the
/cleanrules switch. No rules are shown in the Rules and Alerts Wizard, but
the rules that forward emails are still running.

Any other ideas? Smile

You'd have to convince me it's Outlook and not the server. What evidence do
you have that Outlook is doing this?
