I recently bought a new computer with Vista Home. I loaded Office 2007 on my
new computer. Until February14th I was able to use Outlook without any
problems. After the last update I started receiving the following error:

Task 'lengill@verizon.net - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) :
'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you
continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'

I checked with Verizon and there is not a problem on their end. I have
deleted my information under mail options and re-entered but still get the
same error. Please help.

Have you tried repairing the account?
