I have Installed and Uninstalled BCM using Disk 2 several times, to the
point of frustration. The Installation appears to be successful and shows up
in the Add/Remove List in control panel. However when I open outlook the BCM
App will not
load does not load or show up in the toolbar. I have exhausted all the Help
menus looking for a solution and now turn to this discussion group for help,
or to see if anyone else has had this problem. the BCM add-in remains
unchecked even though I put a check mark in the box. I would Love to find a
fix. thanks

Sounds like Outlook may have disabled it.

In the Windows Registry check:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins
\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.eCRM.OutlookAddin.Connect.1
The value of LoadBehavior should be 3 for Outlook to load it.

Luther, thanks for the input, unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. I
have a working version of BCM that I installed on my other Laptop and the
Registry entries
are Identical on each machine. The application Just will not load on the
problem machine. One error I am getting is:" BCM failed to Initialize the
common Language runtime, the system cannot find the file specified" hope this
helps.

Typically that error indicates that there's something wrong with the
installation of .NET 2.0; e.g. a file missing.

I think this only happens on Xp, so if that's your OS try:
uninstall .NET from add/remove programs, download .NET 2.0 from
Microsoft (it may also show up in Windows Update), install it and try
BCM again.
