Unable to open outlook express

Am suddenly unable to open outlook express 5.5
No error messages, just will not launch & cursor changes to hourglass as it
tries to load & hangs. All microsoft articles I can find have to do with
switching between multiple identities as the source for this problem, but
that is not the issue with me. Same identity since 2001.
The only problem that occured a few days prior to this complete shutdown was
trouble sending email. Messages would stall in my outbox. Any ideas??

Find and delete Folders.dbx for your identity
