Outlook won't send mail

When I try to reply to email in Outlook (2002 version) I get an error
message - "Unable to send the message.
Please verify the email address in your account properties.The server
responded :556 CLIENT AUTHENTIFICATION
REQUIRED. Use ESMTP EHLO AND AUTH." The reply I was trying to send
was to an email received by Outlook
from imap.aol.com which is one of the three accounts I have set up
Outlook to receive mail from. There's the
main account from Comcast and two imap AOL accounts. Hoping there's
something small and obvious to
tweak that will rectify this.
