Franklin;
For good back-up info go here:
http://www.oehelp.com/
For OE Backup, have a look here:
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/backup/index.htm
For DBXtract, have a look here:
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx
After many fits and starts, I saved OE info to CD, before doing a clean install
of Windows XP, from 98.
I managed to save the info, but I could not figure out how to get it into OE.
Someone, I don't remember who, on this NG sent me to DBXtract. Anyway I use them
both.
Hope this helps. Let us know.

You can use SafeMail utility to solve this task. It can also save all your
email messages. It has a simple wizard that allows one to create a full
self-extracting copy of all e-mail, address book, accounts and other
settings of Outlook Express.
Then all you'll have to do is to run resulting EXE file after you reinstall
OS.

Trial version of SafeMail can be downloaded from
http://www.qwhale.com/download/safemail/1.03/QWSafeMailInstall103.zip

Should you have any questions regarding SafeMail please don't hesitate to
contact me.

If all you need to do is to backup settings or up to 10 message folders, you
can use the trial version: it is fully functional and has no time
limitations.
