I use Outlook Express version 6.00.2900.2180.(xpsp_sp2_rtm 040803-2158).

SBCGOLBAL.NET has changed their settings to using (on the advanced mode) to
have

“This server requires a secure connection SSL checked and the ports to SMPT
465 and the POP3 port to 995.”

When I do that I get the following error message:

“Your server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could
not be verified. The certificate’s CN name does not match the passed value.”

Is there an updated Outlook Express or a patch that I can install to bring
it up to date so I can use the new settings ?

Thanks

Then you've posted to the wrong newsgroup. I've crossposted and set
followups to the correct one.
