There's something wrong with my stationery files. For example, there are no
running figures in Running Birthday or Candles in Birthday Candles. The
background stationery is there, just no animated figures.
Is there any way to repair/replace these files?
Thx

Are you not seeing the figures at all or are they not animated?
Typically the animation is done by using animated GIF. The animation is
in the GIF file itself.
Try opening the stationery in Internet explorer and see if it looks OK.
Typically the stationery is stored at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery
Locate the HTM file for the stationery and double click to open.

The figures are missing or they're not animated?
If you send yourself a message using this Stationery, are the figures
present and animated?

Thanks -
When I send a test to myself, the characters are not there, only the
background, and even that comes through as a Attachment which has to be
opened.
When I go to the htm files, they open with the characters, but no animation.
(Come to think of it, are they supposed to be animated? Been a while since
mine have - I'm sure of that.)
I notice in some of my other stationery files (Halloween) there are files
such as 'Animated Ghosts.htm' which are animated. Maybe I'm just missing
some 'animated*.htm' files?

OE Tools | Options | Security | Download Images | Block images...

The folks in the private OE Stationery newsgroup could offer you better
assistance, I think.
The private server can be accessed using the following settings in a new
news account:
Server: privatenews.microsoft.com
Account Name: privatenews\stationery
Password: stationery
The only reason it's on a private server is that Microsoft does not allow
posting of messages larger than 100 KB to pubic newsgroups. Since many
stationeries are often much larger, since they include multiple images and
sound files, the use of a private newsgroups was set up to allow them to
continue with their creations.

Thanks again - yes the Block Images was checked - unchecked it - we'll see
what happens. And thanks for the privatenews insight. I'm signed in there
and will pursue my (very minor) problem there. Thx Again.
