I use my email daily but 11/20 was the last day I was able to send email.
Ever since then I have been getting the following error messages in OE6:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: ' pop.zebra.net', Server:
'smtpauth.centurytel.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
and,
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.so.centurytel.net',
Server: 'mail.so.centurytel.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
The zebra address is my default email, and centurytel is my ISP, and my
secondary email. I recieve my email from zebra but am unable to send. I am
unable to send or recieve from the centurytel address.
I can access the zebra address through the earthlink-(parent company)-site
on Internet explorer or any other web browser but am unable to access
centurytel through any browser (Netscape, Mozilla, Safari, or Internet
Explorer) on this computer. I have completely disabled all antivirus and
email protection software (Norton), but continue to get the errors above. I
can only access my email by checking theweb2mail.com site or by using a
different computer. My ISP insists the problem is a microsoft issue. Has
anyone got any ideas?
