My problem is similar to some others recently, but different. I'm using OE6
under Windows XP SP2. Recently, I started not to be able to read emails only
in my Inbox. I can still send and receive mail. After a day or so in the
Inbox, the message is gone. In it's place I get an Info symbol with the
message

Message has not been downloaded
Outlook Express has not yet downloaded this message.

To download the message:
Press Space.

Clicking and Pressing does nothing. An empty window pops up. This started
first with a few messages, and I could correct by restarting OE6. That no
longer works, and most of my Inbox is now unreadable. Only readable messages
are the most recent ones and a few interspersed among the older ones.

Can anyone suggest a way out? I have backup folders that are good from
several days ago. Should I switch to Office Outlook? Can I import all my OE
folders backup folders into Office?

You might try asking the question on a non-Mac group...
(Maybe the last part of the name of this group was obscured?)

Perhaps an OE6 newsgroup, rather than a Mac one?
Such as;

Check your AV updates, and scan whilst offline.

No lines in inbox A friend of mine has a OS 9.2 mac with outlook express, he can not see any mail in the mailbox. But on the inbox map it says that there are 58 mails present. I am not a mac user, so if anyone can help me that would be great.

Expand Inbox for OE5.2? First time posting to this sort of thing, not even sure how to recieve replies, if any. My OE inbox displays just 5 messages at a time. I'm used to the aol inbox which can be expanded to fill the screen. I want to get rid of aol, but am keeping it beca

pressed stop while a message was downloading in my inbox, los By error I stopped the download of a message and of course could not get it. Is there a way to find it or will the message go back to the person who sent it. Thanks

How do I keep same date messages together? For a time all current messages were at bottom of scroll. Then messages arrived scattered everywhere regardless of date. Then (for no apparent reason) current messages were at top. Now they're scattered again. I have a Mac. What can I do?

Messages open to taskbar I am using Outlook Express 6 and now when I double click on a message it opens straight to the tasbar. I then have to right click and maximise to open the message. This is happening with all messages, they just drop straight onto the taskbar. Internet
