Hi, have not posted for a long while now.
With ref our win98 PC (the host for our wireless network) (I am sending this
from our XP pc [the client].
We can no longer receive or send e-mails from our win98 pc, although we are
on broadband, when we try to use OE, the dailup box appears although we no
longer have a dail-up account.
I have checked in internet options and checked-out that the "never dial a
connection" option is checked (and it is) as this has been the problem in
the past.
We do have AOL installed on the pc as it is our sons private e-mail and isp.
In the passed when AOL has been upgraded, sometimes at has played up with
OE.
Could you help me sort this out so we can send e-mails from both pc's again.
Many thanks
Steve

Hi Frank,
Thanks for that, two minutes and it was fixed, you guys amaze me!!
I was able to download e-mails from the server straight away.
Alas!! I am getting this message for all e-mails in the outbox, even for an
e-mail sent to myself as a test.
:-
The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by
the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'education@xxxxxxxgroup.com'.
Subject 'next step for my son', Account: 'mail.micrxxxxxxx.com', Server:
'smtp.micrxxxxxxx.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '554
: Client host
rejected: Access denied', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554,
Error Number: 0x800CCC79
I'm sure you will know exactly what to do!!
Many thanks
Steve
