|
|
Whenever I Compact folders I make certain to go Offline, but there are still
some folders that generate an error or message box stating that "The folder
is in use by Outlook Express or another application". It appears that the
compacting process then aborts once the message is acknowledged. Any ideas
on what's happening and whether it needs attention?
Thanks,
Lynn B

I get that once in a great while for no apparent reason. Although, it's
been months since it last happened to me.
Usually closing and restarting OE will let the compact to proceed. If
that doesn't help, try restarting Windows.

Thanks to both of you - restarting OE and clicking on the OE "Folder Icon"
took care of it.
