MS Outlook has an option of importing and exporting data from and into Outlook profile. Do you know how it works? The feature is incredible, allows users to export entire data items of PST files. In a similar manner, you can import data into MS Outlook profile in just one go from other programs. You will have to follow a few steps to make it possible. The Import & Export Wizard in Outlook gives the facility.
Your Outlook holds Inbox, Outbox, Deleted items, Contacts, and many other folders. It also contains sub-folders. Exporting the mailbox data allows you to share your data and it can empty the PST folder if the size error occurs.
Steps to Exporting PST data with Import & Export Wizard
In Outlook 2003 & 2007:
Open your Outlook and go to the File menu, from the drop-down choose Import and Export option.
The import and export wizard will open, select Export to a file from multiple options and then press Next tab.
Now, Export to a File wizard will open, choose the file type in which you would like to export your Outlook file data. For example, if you want the data in CSV, select Comma Separated Values(Windows) option. And then press the Next tab.
Now select the folder that you exactly want to export and then press Next.
Select the location where you would like to save the transported data and then press Next tab
In Outlook 2010
In Outlook 2010, go to the File menu and then Open tab from the below bar.
Now choose the Import feature.
Choose Export to a file option from the multiple options and then press Next.
Which file type you want to export Outlook data select from the option. For example, in case you want in a CSV file select Comma Separated Values (Windows) option. Click next.
Select the desired folder you would like to export and then press Next.
Browse a suitable location in the system where you would like to store data and press Next.
In Outlook 2013
Go to the File menu
Select Open & Export option from the drop-down menu and select Import/Export option.
Choose the Export to a file option from the multiple options and press Next.
Now choose the file type in which you want to transfer the data. For example, you wish to save in a CSV file select Comma Separated Values (Windows) option and then press next.
Select the desired folder that you would wish to convert and then press 'Next'.
Browse a suitable location at which you want to store your output file once the export process is done. Then press Next.
The above-mentioned steps will allow exporting Outlook data.
