how to recover deleted account from outlook exprees!!

Hi,
I accidentally removed my email account from outllok express.Is there
any chance to recover the emails?

Removal of the account (Tools/Accounts/Mail tab) should have no action with
stored messages.

How about explaining what you did, when, why, etc., and maybe we can help.

Hi,
Thanks for the response. I clicked tools, options, mail tab and then
accidentally clicked on the remove account. after that i cant see any
emails for that account. i dont know how to recover the emails. any
help would be highly appreciated.

You (or someone) did something other than that. Emails will not just
"disappear" because you remove a mail account. You can lose stored messages
if you force a shutdown of the computer (or of Outlook Express) while
Compacting of the message store is taking place. Or if you delete an
identity, it's stored messages may be hidden to you, but they still exist.
And using an Antivirus/Antispam program set to scan incoming mail can cause
you to lose messages. But not deleting an account.

Do a file search for all files ending with the extension of DBX (if using
Windows 2000 or XP, DBX files are hidden by the operating system so you must
add the "search for hidden files" choice to your options while doing the
search. Then advise how many copies of Inbox.dbx you find.

But it would be better if you would completely explain what you did. Have
you ever used Ctrl+Alt+Del to force an unresponsive Outlook Express to
close? Have you ever noticed a "slowdown" in your computer while Outlook
Express is running and forced a shutdown by turning off the power? Those
are much more likely reasons for losing messages than what you suggest.

Sent Items in wrong account I have a couple of accounts set in my OE. Whenever I send posts in newsgroups, the copy of sent messages gets stored in one of my account, other than the one set up for newsgroups, how can I correct it? Otherwise if I send mails from a particular account,

outlook express version 5 to micosoft outlook 2002 I have Oulook Express 5 on my old comptuer (Windows 98) and want to copy all of my address book to a new computer running Microsoft Outlook 2002 (Windows XP).
