We recently upgraded our Windows 98 express mail to
express 6 because we wanted to be able to send photos to
ebay. This works fine only now we can't open attachments
sent in emails to us? There is no attachment clip for us
to click inorder to open up the attached photos, jokes
etc. What can we do to ammend this problem? Our old
express mail had a clip sign and we just clicked it to
open the attachments? Help.
Thank you,
Penelope

Start Outlook Express, and then on the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click to select the Do not allow attachments to
be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus check box under Virus
Protection.

This option is enabled by default in Outlook Express Service Pack 1 (SP1). If
you enable this option, Outlook Express uses the Internet Explorer 6 unsafe file
list and the Confirm open after download setting in Folder Options to determine
whether a file is safe. Any e-mail attachment with a file type reported as
"unsafe" is blocked from being downloaded.
