Not unless you tell us what the rule says. You will probably find this
article useful.

hi, alls i can tell you is when i go into my message rules this is what i
have.....
auto generated norton antispam rule
new mail rule #1 block it
new mail rule #1 ARSS
new mail rule #1 (nothing beside it)
new mail rule #2 (nothing beside it)
new mail rule #3 INTL STRONG
and all of those above have check marks beside each of those.
I don't even remember what they were trying to sell me but i know it had
alot of ARSS and INTL STRONG through it and it was nothing but spam and they
were really ticking me off.
I hope this helps you so that you can really help me.

Uninstall or disable Norton AntiSpam & see if the behavior persists. OE has
*never* liked anti-spam applications.

No
If there was, you would have to have Outlook Express running while you are
on vacation.
Check your ISP to see if you have web access to your email account.

Since you're new:
No need to post to the 5.5 newsgroup if you are not using 5.5.
And it is a good habit to include all previous messages in your reply.
To elaborate on what Ron said, it can be done, but it is a bad idea.
If you do this, you will have to leave your computer on 24/7, be connected
to the Internet, and have OE open. If you want do this anyway, the link
below will explain how to do it. One thing I would suggest is that where it
says to create a rule and check For All Messages, you change it and make the
rule for people in your address book only. Otherwise you will be replying to
Spam as well.
Your ISP may offer this service which would be a better choice.
