Had to reconfigure and now Outlook Express does spell check in French. Can I
just change languages without redoing Outlook Express?

I'm guessing that you recently installed Office 2007. That's the cause
of the problem.

Office 2007 RTM Issues:
After installing Office 2007 RTM, you don't have English as a choice of
language in the spell checker of Outlook Express and potentially other
programs.

You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in
Outlook Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system

There are also some freeware/shareware spell checkers that work (see the
URL in my signature).
