Steps to Configure Yahoo with Outlook 2013
Open Outlook 2013 and go to the File menu.
Then the Account Information box will appear, press ‘Add Account’ tab
A new window will open of Add Account, straight go to ‘Manual Select or Additional Server Types’ and press Next tab
Choose the service ‘Select POP’and press the Next tab
On POP account fill the required field.
- Name you would like to display
- Email address of Yahoo
- Account types are POP3
- Incoming mail server
- Outgoing mail server
- Username of Yahoo ID
- Password of your Yahoo
- Don’t tick the required login using Secure Password Authentication
Press the ‘More Settings’ tab
A box of Internet email settings will open. Choose ‘Outgoing Server’ in the box.
Select the ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- On the same window go to the Advanced Option and fill the info carefully:
- Incoming server (POP): 995
- Outgoing server(SMTP): 465, 587 or 25
- Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL
- Set encryption type to SSL or TLS
- Set the desired time
Finally hit the Ok tab
You can press close window and press Next tab
Finally, press the Finish tab to accomplish the task.
Now restart your Outlook and choose to send/receive all the folders from the top
